We had our bathroom completely renovated in January with Distinctive. Our consultant was Kelly, a very friendly, knowledgeable young woman. Kelly listened to our ideas and needs and provided excellent advice to help us come up with a design. She met with us several times providing worksheets on products and reminding us if we were going over budget. We were extremely satisfied with the workmanship and timeline, resulting in a beautiful bathroom. We would highly recommend Distinctive and Kelly as your consultant.

Huguette and I had our kitchen and three bathrooms completely renovated. Sara Akra was our designer for all the projects and we were very pleased with the design and results. Thanks also to the excellent team of coordinators, schedulers and workers who were in our home for 7 weeks until completion. We knew everyone by name and are very pleased with the high standards and excellent workmanship the workers displayed at all times.

DBK replaced the shower in my ensuite bathroom. The work was completed on schedule we are very pleased with the outcome. A few weeks later I had a minor issue with a rust stain. Contacted DBK on a Monday and by Friday the issue was rectified. I must say that this is the best after sales service I have ever received from any contractor I have dealt with. I would not hesitate to recommend DBK.

we completed our dream master bathroom renovation in janaury 2026 with the amazing DBK – this company were professional and supportive from start to finish and our designer at DBK Julianna “Anna” Dykstra was amazing as were all of the trades persons and we were shocked that the project install from start too finish took 2 weeks – we will be returning to DBK and can 100% recommend this company if you are considering renovations ! – sharing the before and after pictures to show the fabulous work!

I want to thank the DBK Ottawa team for the successful renewal of my Kitchen. Emily (Meechan) using her talent and ability translated my general comments into a comprehensive design which included accessories, couleur scheme and cost. Emily personality made that process extremely easy for me. Them, Kim, and Dennis took Emily’s plans and started the installation process. I was surprised to see my kitchen appearing under my eyes. throw-out the project I could appreciate Kim’s experience and workmanships. I realize that the successful completion of the project also needed people to manage the logistic of the project. Their dedication made sure that materials arrived promptly and the efforts of various trades were well coordinated. It is the second time that I use DBK for kitchen renovations and I am happy with my decision both times.

I already had an idea that Distinctive Bathrooms & Kitchens would make my washroom renovations worthwhile. Sara Akra was extremely helpful. She took time to listen to what I wanted then came to my home and took measurements. She walked me through different styles and materials not only to make my washrooms updated but at a cost that suited my situation. I never felt pressured to do things i didn’t want or could not afford. She has a unique sense of taste and class which was helpful again at a cost I could afford. She even called me to see if I would be interested in a vanity that was on clearance that ended up saving me money. So if you want a great sales lady with style see Sara Akra. Then the crew. What can I say Etienne came on time every morning did his job asked me questions when he wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted something which was great He never assumed. He would clean up everyday and worked hard every day. Great guy. Manny the plumber was awesome. He too came did his job and calmly worked all day. Mr McMaster the electrician was also a great guy. Did his job well too. Sonny would deliver the items and pick up all the garbage. There were other crew members too who contributed and I appreciated them too . They were done faster than they were supposed to be done and we are so happy about our powder room and main upstairs washroom which is so beautiful and updated. I feel like im in a hotel room. They even took out an old hair dresser sink in the basement and installed a laundry tub i had bought recommended by Sara. I recommend you buy lights at home depot as they do not sell them. If you’re going to buy light at multi luminaires beware that they may take 2 weeks to ship your order so get lightning at home depot. The electrician installed a new pot light in the powder room which looks so nice. All in all I am so happy as is my daughter and wife. I’ve heard horror stories about kitchen projects lasting so much longer than what was originally anticipated and to my surprise, even after encountering major structural issues, the time frame was met. I was so thankful to have chosen a large company that has all the staff needed to address any issue.

From the design meetings (Amazing designer: Kelly Ouellette) to the finished product (Thank you Joel and team), the experience with Distinctive was fantastic! It’s simply a well managed company (Dominic Manzo is extremely well organized and very pleasant to deal with) that hires true professionals to complete every step of your project. We will be starting our second project with them in the spring! I could not recommend them more!

We wanted a one-stop shop to tackle the largest and most stressful renovation we’ve ever done (complete kitchen Reno). DKB was very competitive in costs and coordinated every aspect of the work; design, demo, plumbing, electrical, drywalling, flooring, installation… all of it!

From our first meeting for consultation and subsequent design appointments with Julianna, we knew we made the right choice. Her design was EXACTLY what we had hoped for and needed in a kitchen. We appreciated her time and expert guidance throughout that all important foundational piece of this massive (for us anyways) undertaking.

Job foreman Kim was a phenomenal partner to work with on this as well. Professional, courteous and obviously skilled to no end. He really brought Julianna’s designs to life and did so with an attention to detail that showed just how much pride he takes in his work.

Tania was our coordinator and kept us in the loop in terms of scheduling and what to expect each day, and each week. She also was quick to respond to questions we had or any issues that popped up.

The whole DKB staff are incredible.

We hope to have them back to help us update our three bathrooms one day. Can’t recommend enough.
